Community privacy policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

This page covers the Shake & Talk community at shaketalk.com (Feed, Destiny Kitchen, Saju Friends, Drone Trips). The general policy for Shake & Talk and our games is here: General privacy policy

What we keep

Your Shake & Talk account id (from Google sign-in), the nickname, country, city and language you choose; your posts, photos, videos, comments, likes, saves, reports and blocks; Linbi thanks you send or receive (amount, date) and, if linked, your Nestly account id. To stop abuse we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your network address and device id — never the raw values.

Your birth date stays with you

The day pillar badge is worked out in your own browser. Only its two characters and element reach us, and only if you choose to show the badge. Saju Friends and Shake & Talk chemistry use codes made on your phone, never the birth date. If you turn on keeping your birth date in your account (optional, at sign-in or on My page), it is kept encrypted with your account and used only to show you "Today for me" and your own day pillar — never to anyone else; delete it any time on My page. One sign-in covers all of shaketalk.com (a cookie for this site only), and signing in joins your Destiny Day account of the same Google account.

Photos and videos

Photos are converted and their location data (GPS/EXIF) is removed. Videos are re-encoded. Files stay private until the post is approved, then become public. Uploads that never become part of a post are removed automatically.

Checks before anything goes public

Text and images are checked by word rules and by AI services (currently Zhipu AI and Google Gemini) to find contact details, hate, sexual content or medical claims. A person then approves or rejects. The AI services receive only the content being checked.

What is public

Approved posts and comments, your nickname, country and city, your badge if you show it, and map pins. Search engines may show public posts. A Saju Friends story about two people is published only after both agree, and either can take it down later. You appear among "saju twins online" only if you switch it on.

Other services your browser contacts

Google (sign-in), OpenStreetMap (map tiles), cdnjs (the map library), and ad slots on feed and post pages as described in the general policy. This site uses Google AdSense: Google and third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites; you can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com). Shop links go to partner stores.

Flying at /fly/

The drone flight at /fly/ is our Daily Look app (formerly DreamTour). Flying together and its chat need sign-in, 18+ and the rules. Positions and chat lines go live through our own relay server outside China (shaketalk.com) to the people in the same room. Before anything is passed on, the server hides phone numbers, emails, links and social IDs and removes bad words; we do not save chats (the relay holds only the last position in memory while the room is open). If you block people in a room, the server keeps you apart for 180 days (it stores only the two account ids). If you report a room, the room number, nicknames, accounts and the last chat lines the server passed on (up to 30 minutes) are kept 90 days for review. Your footprints (places you visited, trips, searches, likes) are kept with your account on the same server; see or delete them on My page. Place lookups, AI questions and music in Daily Look are served from our server in China (linxiangcn.com) without your account; map tiles come from OpenFreeMap and Esri. Your flight path stays in your browser unless you share it as a Drone Trips post. Screen recordings are off (map licences).

Drone snaps

📸 in Daily Look saves a picture of the map. Signed out, snaps stay only in this browser (up to 50). Signed in at shaketalk.com, they are kept in your account (up to 200, private, shown on /me/) with the place, height, heading, time and map type, until you delete them or your account. A snap becomes public only when you write a post with it and we approve that post. The band under the picture - place, date and the map credit ("Powered by Esri | Source: ...") - is drawn by our server and is always part of the picture. Public satellite snaps are marked, and may be hidden at any time if the map provider's terms require it (the post itself stays). Satellite snaps may not be sold or resold.

How long

Until you delete it. Rejected or deleted posts lose their files. Resolved reports are deleted after 180 days.

Your choices

Edit your profile any time. "Delete my community account" on your profile removes your posts, files, comments, likes, saves, the reports you made, your blocks, your thanks records and stories about you. To ask for removal of something about you, use the contact page. The community is for people 18 and older.
