The free tools

The Day Master calculator, the Compatibility checker and the video-prompt tool run entirely in your browser. Birth dates and times you type there are not sent to our server and are not stored. The recipe finder asks our server for recipes by element only.

The AI tools

The Saju essay helper sends only the Day Master you chose and your five answers; the Travel guide builder sends only a city and a number of days. Contact details in your text are hidden before sending. These requests go to an AI provider (Google Gemini or Zhipu AI) without your name or account. We do not store the answers. To keep the free limit of five a day, we keep a random device number in a cookie (stc_dev) and a scrambled (hashed) form of your network address with a daily count, deleted after two days.

Server logs

Like every website, our web server briefly records technical data (network address, browser, page and time) to keep the site running and safe. These logs are kept only for a short time.

Advertising and cookies

This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com) and learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Where the law requires it, you will be asked before such cookies are used.

Drone snaps

📸 in Drone Trips (the Daily Look app, formerly DreamTour) saves a picture of the map. Signed out, snaps stay only in this browser (up to 50). Signed in, they are kept privately in your account (up to 200, with the place, height, heading, time and map type, until you delete them or your account). A snap is public only in a post you write with it, after a person approves that post; the editors may show approved satellite snaps on a travel guide. The map credit in the band under the picture ("Powered by Esri | Source: ...") is drawn by our server and always stays. Public satellite snaps are marked and may be hidden at any time if the map provider's terms require it. Satellite snaps may not be sold or resold.

Approximate location by IP

In Daily Look (Drone Trips), when the location of your device cannot be read, the Today page shows an approximate city instead. To do that our server sends your IP address to Tencent Location Service (visitors in mainland China) or to GeoJS (everywhere else) and gets a city-level place back. The result is not stored and the address is not written to our logs for this; you can always set your home on the map yourself instead.

Remembered profile and sign-in

Signing in is optional; every tool works without it. If you leave "Remember on this device" on, your birth date, time, calendar, sex and birth city are kept only in this browser's storage - never sent to our server and never put in a web address. If you sign in with Google (the same Shake & Talk account used across shaketalk.com), your profile is read from your account vault, where it is kept encrypted, and saved there only after you confirm. You can delete it on this device or from your account at any time under "My profile". The AI tools still receive only results such as your Day Master, never your birth date.
