How this tool works
Each birthday is turned into a chart, then the two charts are compared with the same engine as Shake & Talk's chemistry corner.
First the two Day Masters: a stem combination (Jia–Ji, Yi–Geng, Bing–Xin, Ding–Ren, Wu–Gui), the same element, one feeding the other (generating cycle) or one checking the other (controlling cycle). Then the two day branches: six harmonies and three harmonies add points, a clash or a punishment takes some away. If each of you carries the element the other needs, that adds too.
The year animals and the elements of the Western sun signs are scored separately. Points are added and taken away by fixed rules, so the same two birthdays always give the same result.
The Four Pillars part starts from a base of 60 points. A stem combination between the two Day Masters adds 18, one feeding the other adds 10, the same element adds 5 and one checking the other takes 6 away; the day branches, the year animals and the sun signs then move the total up or down. Under your result a link opens the guide for your two Day Masters, and the share card carries the two Day Masters, the score and three of the reasons.
Person A is you: with "Remember on this device" on, your own date is filled in next time, and the second person's date is never remembered.
The score is a way to start a conversation, never a verdict on a relationship.
Questions
- Are the birthdays stored?
- No. Everything is calculated in your browser, and the share card shows only the two Day Masters and the score — never a birthday.
- Does a low score mean we do not match?
- No. Knowing where you rub is what makes talking easier. Read the pair guide below for conversation tips.
